Established in 2014 with the release of Benny Turner's "Journey" album, Nola Blue Records is passionate about preserving the musical legacy of traditional blues artists and supporting emerging contemporary talent.

A veteran musician of more than 60 years, Benny has played everywhere from the Chitlin’ Circuit, to Europe, Japan, Australia, and all points in between.  Content to be a sideman in support of the many giants he worked with, the time came for Benny to take his rightful place in the spotlight on center stage, to the delight of blues fans worldwide.

Blues legends Benny Turner and Cash McCall's friendship began in Chicago over 60 years ago.  The pair reunited in the studio to revisit their roots and the songs they once played nightly in South and West side nightspots for their album "Going Back Home."  The joyous blues summit took place at studios in Memphis, New Orleans, and Chicago.

The world lost a treasure with the passing of Cash McCall.  Most musicians are lucky to achieve a measure of stardom and artistic fulfillment in one genre.  Cash McCall managed the elusive feat in no less than three!  His enthusiasm for the music he loved never waned even until the end.

Acclaimed Pennsylvania bluesman, Clarence Spady, has been a long-time fixture of the Northeast music scene.  Spady has been a regular performer at Greenwich Village’s iconic Terra Blues club where he has been captivating travelers from all over the world with his guitar virtuosity and magnetic stage presence for nearly thirty years.

Guitarist, singer and Louisiana native Eric Johanson makes music with authentic roots in the dynamic tapestry of New Orleans. Putting the vivid personality of the guitar at its center, his work is inspired by the blues, Americana and straight-up rock n roll. He transforms improvisational riffs, harmonies and rhythms and his up-front vocal style into a sound that evokes the mysterious hidden wonders of the Louisiana bayou, the vibrant heat of the city and all the lively spaces in between.

From his work with the Otis Redding Soul Revue at age 17, to a record deal gone bad with James Brown, to his multiple Blues Music Award nominations, Frank Bey has had his share of career highs and lows. The depth, warmth and character of his voice flow effortlessly to embody the very essence of soul singing. His album "All My Dues Are Paid" is a Grammy nominee for Traditional Blues Album.

Murray’s boisterous vocals often evoke Austin legend Lou Ann Barton and rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson along with some echoes of Marcia Ball and Angela Strehli. Like the aforementioned Lone Star roots music divas, Murray is a commanding, self-assured, and versatile vocalist.

Often compared to Susan Tedeschi and Bonnie Raitt, Meg’s guitar playing has captured the attention of listeners.  She performs frequently at venues across the country with her band, Meg Williams Band, as a solo/duo act, and as a guitarist for other artists.
“…beneath this sweet exterior lurks a rock ‘n’ roller. ”- Frank de Blasé, CITY Newspaper

From Blues Royalty, the son of Bobby "Blue" Bland and godson of B.B. King, Rodd Bland rose up from the age of 3 learning traditional blues from his father's drummers. As Rodd enters a new era of his life as a musician, he has taken the opportunity to transfer lessons he absorbed to a new generation of blues fans while carrying on the great legacy of the Blues Royalty.

Tiffany Pollack will release her debut solo album on Nola Blue Records. Bayou Liberty, a nod to
Bayou Liberty Road in her childhood neighborhood as well as themes of personal liberty throughout  her life, examines both the darkness and the light of the female experience. A prolific songwriter with unmistakable flair for raw impact, this album reflects Pollack’s individual journey.

These Louisiana natives met when Pollack was reunited with her biological family at 25, and discovered they are cousins and members of a musical family with a rich history. After years of the cousins’ mothers pushing for them to work together, the duo project has come to fruition for a very personal family project in celebration of the blues.
